Arkansas' winters are notorious for ice more than snow. As an orthopaedic surgeon, my patients and my livelihood depend upon me remaining safely upright. That's why I wear secure footwear, don't run in the rain and wear ice cleats when there is frozen precipitation. I have owned this product for at least 10 years and there have been no problems except the rear, central cleat has become missing without detriment to function of the device. With these securely pulled onto my footwear, I am confident that I can walk safely from the parking lot to the hospital or office even when the surface, regardless of slope, is nothing but a sheet of ice.

Grip that stays put on the boot

I bought these because after a strange start to winter, we ended up with the gravel roads and my driveway having 4" of permanent ice on them. Walking about was tricky to say the least even in town. The local store ran out of everything they had as far as ice gripping goes, so I searched online and found these. The biggest complaint you`ll find is the stack the strap on type grips often are hard to keep on the heel of a boot....not these. I`ve had them now a month, and on my size 10 pack boots with steel toes. Tight to get on, but that was the big plus! I love them. I do not take them off and on, I just leave them on for the winter. I have other pack boots for casual wear in the forest and about town.
    Pros
    • Fit tight with a strap band from the heel over the boot for good constant fit...no slippage off on the heel. What a plus.
    Cons
    • None.
