The carbide spikes are an excellent traction idea on ice, I've tried various other traction devices but they do not work as well as the spikes. When walking on both icy and bare sidewalks (a lot of sidewalks I walk on are a combination of both), the carbide spikes last the entire Minnesota winter.
Pros
- Excellent product for an excellent price. It's a simple operation to replace spikes to the rubber boot harness at the end of the season and get ready for the following season. This may not even be necessary as I do not notice any wear on the carbide spikes themselves but is just something that I choose to do.
