Solid Boot- Warm and High Quality
January 1, 2025
I was very impressed with the build quality of this boot. It is really nice that the liner is removable so you can dry it and the boot shell out separately after each use. I have not had a chance to wear them yet in the extreme cold, but at the freezing point they kept my feet very warm. I also like the integrated gator at the top of the boot. They are quite comfortable as well. The only minor complaint that I have is that I wish there was a bit more capability to tighten the lower strap. I have it as tight as it will go and I want to cinch it down another centimeter or so.
The sizing of this boot is interesting. Before purchasing, I read over a 100 reviews on Baffin's website and other places and almost all of the reviews stated this boot runs small and that you should order them 1 full size larger than normal. Baffin's website also suggests purchasing one size larger than normal. I wear a size 10 shoe, measure an exact 10 on a Brannock device and have dozens of size 10 shoes that fit me perfectly. Based upon the reviews and Baffin's suggestion, I ordered a size 11. It was huge and I could easily step out of the boot with the straps cinched down all the way. I exchanged them for a size 10 and they fit me perfectly. So, my experience was to purchase my actual size and not a size larger as many suggest.
